Donation & thanks to Congress people boycotting Trump inauguration

  • by

As you probably heard Representative John Lewis has called the election of Donald Trump, illegitimate.  He will not be attending the inauguration, the first since he was elected to congress 31 years ago.  In response, Donald Trump has taken to twitter to lie about John Lewis in a juvenile manner that illustrated Trump’s racism.

Support John Lewis and purchase one of his books now. In one day several have risen to top of sales charts.  Let’s keep them up and stand against racism.

In response, many democrats have decided to make their boycott of Trump’s inauguration public. This is unique as Congress people traditionally attend an inauguration to pay respect to our country’s process of allowing power to shift every 4 or 8 years.

If you’re like me, your searching for ways to ensure that we don’t become a fascist state, or regress significantly over the next few years.  Many of us have taken to calling our congress people everyday and following the lessons we’ve learned in Indivisible.

I’ve decided I would donate to the Congress people that are boycotting the Inauguration.  My family recently restructured our budget, cut our leisure budget 90% and will be donating all of that money to prop up America through her rough patch.  I’ve created a list of important charities that are highly rated and extremely efficient, please use it, spread it, support them.  You can also subscribe(free) to the posts from these charities in twitter list and make sure to retweet them to advance their efforts.

In researching the Congress people that are boycotting the Trump inauguration I looked into how close their last election race was.  I found a few that were uncontested and several others that won in landslides.  There are a few Congress people that had slightly closer contests, and I think it would be nice if we sent them a donation to ensure their future success, and let them know we support their boycott.

Listed below are Congress people that are boycotting the inauguration of Donald Trump, in order of how close their victory was.

I’ll update this list if there are any other’s that live in districts with closer races than the above distinguished Congressional Representatives.
