As a coach, he turned an 0-27 football team into state champions, making him a hero to the average sports fan.
And while he was taking that team to the Championship, he knew the signal it would send when he stepped up as the faculty advisor for the school’s first Gay-Straight Alliance—demonstrating his wisdom, tolerance, and understanding of the importance of inclusion and everyone’s right to live a life of peace and happiness.

They have become angry, bitter shells of who they once were, disconnected from reality, and unable to enjoy life in the present—missing out on the incredible joy that comes from learning about someone like Tim Walz. He’s a model for all, a favorite father figure to many, and remembered as the best and most important teacher his students ever had. Yet, right-wing media and inhumane Republican politicians, driven by their thirst for power and money, have their followers in a frenzy, sending out donation requests filled with fear-mongering about how Walz will “unleash HELL ON EARTH.” This claim comes from a man convicted of fraud, who, when he was President, actually appointed Tim Walz to his Council of Governors. The whole thing is ludicrous to you, but taken seriously by the sheep.
This behavior is reminiscent of the way theists often miss out on living fully in the present, spending their lives yearning for the afterlife and never fully embracing the reality that this life is the only one we know of.
Right-wing media and con-men in the Republican Party (it’s not just Trump) have stolen so many people from us with their lies. They’ve reduced them to mere shadows of who they could be, potential humanity wasted, even as they ironically preach that no life should be “wasted.”
