The Gatling Gun Liar: At Least 477 Lies in 41 Minutes at the Debate!
When mainstream media went soft, claiming Trump only told 30+ lies during the debate, I had to check for myself. Spoiler: it’s way higher—477+ lies. I assume they only fact-check major policy statements, ignoring the profuse stream of lies he tells along the way.
Ever wonder how the media can be so far off on his total lie count? Let me give you an example of a lie they didn’t count. He claims nobody talks or thinks about Russia having nukes. Really? We’re all acutely aware, and we’ve all either talked about it or heard it talked about many times. It’s absurd, right? Yet this is just one of hundreds of casual lies he throws out there—completely unchecked by the media.
Here’s another example: at one point, he says, “people don’t go to her rallies,” and then says, “the people that do go.” He lies, then immediately contradicts his own lie. It’s a never-ending assault of falsehoods.
He’s a Gatling Gun Liar
Trump spits out lies at a rate that’d make any fact-checker’s head spin. Maybe that’s why they can’t count to 477. He tells a lie every 5 seconds!

CNN’s count of 33+? Really? Were they even watching the same debate? And this is what MAGA calls “left-wing media”? Give me a break. LOL!
Now, I don’t have a team to do this properly. I’m just an American with a passion for the truth. Actually writing a proper refutation for each lie would take me weeks, it took me 3 days just to count the lies. I know this is just one person’s take, but it shows how impossible it is to refute him in real-time. If you disagree with my count, I suggest you mention your specific grievance in the comment section and hash it out with other commenters.
But here’s my real purpose: to show how informed and intelligent people hear Trump. Look at what we hear. We hear lies in everything he says. MAGA can’t see through the con, and the images paint a picture as to what we hear. Understand this is completely in line with how well-informed people hear him every time he speaks. It’s an onslaught of the senses designed to overwhelm the listener.
Interestingly some informed people have a perception that Trump never speaks the truth but while counting, I did find a few truths. For example, on tariffs, he said: “And the tariff will be substantial in some cases”, “In fact, they never took the tariff off”, and “They’ve left the tariffs on.” His lies are so frequent that many of us can’t even detect the occasional truth slipped in between. His assault on our senses is overwhelming, and our brains struggle to catch those split seconds of fact embedded in his nonstop Gatling gun assault of lies.
The Methodology Behind Counting His Debate Lies:
I’m just one moderately intelligent primate capable of seeing through BS. I scored a lie for each lie. Sentences containing multiple lies? Those aren’t counted as just one lie. For example, when he says, “I have nothing to do with it—everybody knows I’m an open book,” that’s three lies:
- He does have something to do with it.
- Not everybody “knows.”
- He isn’t an “open book.”
Each lie was meticulously counted, and I made some notes along the way. Many of his lies are either impossible to fact-check because they’re about the future or simply make claims that are difficult to fact-check, so in those cases, no lie was counted. However, if common sense dictated that it was a lie, I gave him credit.
In some cases, Trump made claims that could potentially be true if specifics were provided, but they were designed to build up a false narrative. In one case using some stats that could be true in service to making the false claim that “violent crime is way up in America”—when it’s actually down 26% since Trump’s reign of terror. When statements like this were designed to mislead, they were counted as lies—this happened about 10 times.
